2010 Convention Swaps!

This past Sunday I returned home from Salt Lake City where I attended my very first Stampin' Up! Convention! I met so many new people and made one awesome new friend!

In the weeks before Convention, I had been working on some items to swap with people while walking around at the convention center and I would like to show one of those to you now!

I had so many nice comments from people that received this card as I swapped with them. I had swapped this card with a lady at my Make & Take meeting where those of us that got chosen to be Make & Take Helpers were making our projects before everyone else so we knew how to help people during our session. She came up to me a couple of days later and told me she had to come find me to tell me that she was getting a lot of compliments on my card. My heart melted a little bit to know that people everywhere were enjoying my card!

So without further ado, here it is!

For this card I used the Elements of Style stamp set (#118611 W) (#120045 C), Top Note die (#113463), Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (#120175), Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (#119959), Early Espresso Classic Ink (#119670), 1 3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large Punch (#119855), Early Espresso Cardstock (#119686), Sahara Sand Cardstock (#121043), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

This next project was actually something that my mother was working on, and I took over for her since she was doing so many other swaps! It was a lot of fun to make this one!

I used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (#119976), Spiral Border Punch (#119872), Old Olive Cardstock (#100702), Tempting Turquoise Cardstock (#102067), and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink (#100908) from the main Idea Book & Catalog.

From the Summer Mini that is active until August 31 I used the following: Tropical Party Stamp Set (#118515 W) (#120081 C), Island Oasis Designer Series Paper (#117173)

Hope you enjoy checking these out as much as I enjoyed making them!

Much love,
